TransMUX equipment protection groups
Observe the specific equipage rules concerning TransMUX equipment protection:
• The TMUX2G5/1 unit is only usable in combination with LOXC40G3S/1 or
LOXC40G2S/1. Operation in combination with LOXC/1 is not supported. This
implies that the TMUX2G5/1 can only be used in Es equipped with CTL/3T or
CTL/3S. Es equipped with any other type of CTL do not accept the provisioning of
a TMUX2G5/1 unit.
• The system supports up to 12 TransMUX equipment protection groups. A 1+1
TransMUX equipment protection group may be created using two TransMUX units in
slot pairs of adjacent slots, where the left of both slots always is assigned the worker
slot. The permitted slot combinations for TransMUX equipment protection groups are
{1, 2}, {3, 4}, {5, 6}, {7, 8}, {12, 13}, ... ,{18, 19}, {21, 22}, ... {27, 28}, {32, 33},
... {38, 39}. However, some of those slot pairs might not be usable depending on the
type of LOXC40 used and the slot positions of these circuit packs (when using
LOXC40G3S/1, for example, slots 1 through 4 and 16 through 19 cannot be used for
TMUX2G5/1).
