Locking or unlocking the backhoe attachment

Before undertaking any road travel, the backhoe attach-
ment must be "locked" in transport position. In order to do
this, retract the dipper completely against the boom and
then fully raise the boom so that the lock bar engages on
the boom pins.
Backhoe attachment can be locked mechanically or elec-
trically as shown below.
Mechanically operated control
To lock the attachment, pull lever (1) backwards and raise
the boom until the locking system (2) engages. Release
the lever.
To unlock the attachment, push lever (1) forwards to re-
lease the locking system (2) and then lower the boom.
Electrically operated control (Optional)
To unlock the attachment, place the switch (1) in the OFF
position. The indicator lamp (2) turns off and the locking
system releases. Lower the boom.
