Air conditioning system

The air conditioning system components require mainte-
nance at regular intervals. Observe these intervals to en-
sure correct operation and full efficiency of the air condi-
tioning.
ATTENTION: Never perform any service operation on the
air conditioning system. For any operation, consult an au-
thorized workshop.
NOTE: run the air conditioning at least once a week, even
for a short time.
The air conditioning system contains HFC 134a refrigerant
gas which is subject to strict regulations. Any problem must
be solved quickly.
ATTENTION: The HFC 134a refrigerant gas in use is a
refrigerant with safety characteristics.
This means that this refrigerant is non-flammable, non-ex-
plosive, non-toxic, non-irritating, tasteless and colourless.
Nevertheless, it is necessary to take some precautions.
Avoid any contact with the refrigerant. In case of skin con-
tact with the refrigerant, immediately treat the skin.
Wear safety goggles to protect your eyes. If, despite these,
some refrigerant comes in contact with the eyes, immedi-
ately consult a doctor.
Empty the system before carrying out repairs on it. Do not
let the refrigerant release in the surrounding areas. To suck
it, only use duly approved aspirators.
Regardless of the system being full of refrigerant or empty,
heat determines a remarkable overpressure, which could
not only damage the system, but also cause explosions.
Therefore, avoid weldings, heat sources or open flames.
Empty refrigerant cylinders must not be discarded. When
full, refrigerant cylinders must not be exposed to sun rays or
other heat sources for a long time. The maximum allowed
temperature for a full refrigerant cylinder must not exceed
45 °C (113 °F).
