I-Mark Slice Level
Printing > Advanced > Calibrate > I-Mark Slice Level
Set the slice level of I-mark sensor.
The setting procedures are as follows:
1. Use the formula as follows to calculate the slice level.
[(High level - Low level) x 0.7 + Low level = slice level]
2. Select the I-Mark Slice Level in Auto-calibration menu and press the
button.

3. Press the
arrow buttons to change the Slice level value. Set
the Slice level to the slice level calculated in step 1.
4. Press the right soft button to confirm the value.
Note:
If you set the Slice Level to 0.0 (V), the printer sets the slice level automat-
ically.
Head Check
Printing > Advanced > Head Check
Automatically check if there is a filament disconnection of the print head.
The options are as follows:
• Off: Head Check disabled.
• All: Check all the print area.
• Barcode: Check only the area for printing barcode. Head check is not
applicable for the barcode printed as a graphic data.
Caution:
Head check is a reference for checking filament disconnection of the print
head. This function does not guarantee the barcode readability.
Head Check Mode
Printing > Advanced > Head Check Mode
Set the method for head check.
Shows if you have selected All or Barcode in Head Check menu.
The options are as follows:
• Always: Do head check for every item.
• After Batch: The head check occurs before starting to print and when
stopping to print. If backfeed is applicable, the head check occurs
before starting to print, when stopping to print and during the backfeed.
• Every Page: Do head check for each specified number of media.
