No. What to check
1 Are the media and the carbon ribbon genuine for
the printer?
2 Are the media and the carbon ribbon installed
correctly?
3 Is the tension of the carbon ribbon correct?
4 Is the print head installed correctly?
5 Is the pressure of the print head too strong or too
weak?
6 Is the print speed too fast?
7 Is the print darkness too low or too high?
8 Is the platen roller dirty?
9 Is the print head dirty or the print head is
attached with a label?
10 Is the print head defective?
11 Is the platen roller damaged?
12 Is the main board defective?
Countermeasure
Power on the device again.
Check the data sent from the computer and the
communication conditions.
Replace the print head and reset the counter.
Replace the main board.
Countermeasure
Use the genuine media and the carbon ribbon
for the printer.
Check if the media and the carbon ribbon are
installed correctly.
Adjust the tension of the carbon ribbon.
Install the print head correctly.
Adjust the pressure of the print head with the
head pressure adjustment dial.
Adjust the print speed.
Adjust the print darkness.
If the platen roller is dirty, clean with the cleaning
kit.
For the cleaning of the printer, refer to Mainte-
nance.
If the print head is dirty, clean with the cleaning
pen. If a label is attached, remove the label.
If the glue of label is attached to the print head,
clean with a cleaning kit.
Do not clean with a hard object. Doing so could
cause damage to the print head.
For the cleaning of the printer, refer to
5.2 Maintenance of Print Head and Platen
Roller.
Replace the print head and reset the counter.
Replace the platen roller.
Replace the main board.
