Press down the print head until the head
lock lever is locked.

Press the media guide  lightly against
the end of the media, then turn the knob 
to lock the media guide.

Close the top cover.

After installing the media and carbon
ribbon, do a test print to make sure that the
media is installed correctly.
Refer to Test Print menu in Section 4.4.5 Tools
Menu for how to do a test print.
CAUTION
• When closing the top cover, be careful not to pinch your finger.

Installing the Fan-fold Media

Put the fan-fold media on a flat location, then install the media from the rear of the printer or from the
media slot at the bottom of the printer.
The routing path of the media is as shown
on the right figure.
When pulling the media for installation,
make sure that the print side faces up.
After passing the media through the slot,
refer to the steps 5 to 10 of
Installing the Media Roll
