3.5 Installing the Media

Use the genuine media and carbon ribbon for the printer to get the optimum print quality.
CAUTIONS
• The print head and its surrounding are hot after printing. Be careful not to get burned.
• Touching the edge of the print head with bare hand could cause injury.
3.5.1

Installing the Media Roll

The routing path of the media is as shown on the right
figure.
When pulling the media for installation, make sure
that the print side faces up.

Open the top cover.
CAUTION
• Open the top cover fully to prevent accidental drop of
the cover.

Turn the head lock lever clockwise to
unlock the print head.
