What to check
Countermeasure
Use the genuine media and the carbon ribbon
for the printer.
Check if the media and the carbon ribbon are
installed correctly.
Use the media or the carbon ribbon that is not
out of shape. You cannot feed the media or the
carbon ribbon that is out of shape.
Adjust the print head.
Adjust the media guide.
Set a correct sensor type.
Adjust the sensor level.
Adjust the offset.
Adjust the pitch offset or base reference point
offset.
If the platen roller is dirty, clean with the cleaning
kit.
For the cleaning of the printer, refer to
5.2 Maintenance of Print Head and Platen
Roller.
If the media sensor is dirty, clean with the clean-
ing kit.
For the cleaning of the printer, refer to
5.2 Maintenance of Print Head and Platen
Roller.
Power on the device again.
Check the data sent from the computer and the
communication conditions.
Replace the platen roller.
