Automatic start of roll replacement

Attention:
The external paper end light barrier must be set so that there is sufficient paper
on the paper roll when error message "EM001001 'Paper end detected'" appears
on the first printer, to allow the paper web to be conveyed twice through the entire
printing system (approx. 50 x 12" sheets).
Note:
An automatic start of the roll replacement is only possible on synchronized twin
or triplex printing systems.
To ensure that the roll replacement can be started automatically by the system,
the following prerequisites must be met:
- The printing system must have an external paper end light barrier.
- The external paper end light barrier must be activated in the menu
'Configuration' -> 'Printing system' -> 'Paper path' -> 'Paper end' -> 'External
on' .
- In the menu 'Configuration' -> 'Printing system' -> 'Paper end functions',
'Automatic start' must be activated (see
start' on page
As soon as the defined paper end is detected by the external paper end light
barrier, an appropriate warning is displayed on the user interface. The printing
system is stopped automatically, and the roll replacement procedure is set to
'Start'.

Proceed as follows:
1.
As soon as the external paper end light barrier has detected the defined pa-
per end, the progress display in the toolbar and in the menu display is set to
the 'Start' mark.
Select menu 'Configuration' -> 'Printing system' -> 'Paper end functions' at
the operator panel.
2.
Click 'Ready'.
The printing system is switched to the 'Ready' status. The sheets, which
have left the first printer at 'Stop', but have not yet run through the second
printer, are now printed and fused. As soon as the fusing is complete, the
progress display jumps to the 'Mark' mark.
