Chapter 6 Operating the printing system
Use the adjusting wheel to set
the contact force of the guide
roller according to the paper
type.
The adjusting wheel has a scale
(1 - 6) for setting the pressure:
1: no pressure
6: greatest pressure
Begin with gentle pressure.
The value to be set must first be
determined by test runs with the
paper being used.
Advance the paper for approxi-
mately 10 seconds with the
ADVF button. The edge of the
paper web must always rest
against the guide plate when
advancing. If this is not the
case, change the contact force
of the guide roller.
If the paper width has been
changed:
Set the rear paper web guide to
the paper width + 1 mm. Tight-
en the knurled screw.
