UNIX Indictment
For each CPU indictment that is sent to the operating system a callout report is
generated. After the bad component is replaced the following commands must
be executed to bring the new components on-line for use. The following is an
example of using the Indictment command.
#hwmgr –status comp -ngood
STATUS
HWID: HOSTNAME
2:
mcsse1
#hwmgr –online –name CPU0
hwmgr:CPU0 is now online
NOTE: The indicted problem state attached to the previous component is still in
effect even though a new component may have been inserted. Use the
command " hwmgr –unindict –id <hwid> " to clear the problem
state when the component is operating properly.
The following is an example of a CPU unindict command.
#hwmgr –unindict –id 2
hwmgr:Unindict operation was successful
