To remove the head from the storage stand:

Ensure that the top of the head is resting on a clean, stable surface. The probes
should be facing upward, as the following figure shows.

Using both hands, carefully lift the stand off of the head while guiding the stand's
side cutouts (1) off the head side tabs (2). Use care to avoid touching the probes.
