Avaya P330-ML Layer 2 CLI Commands

set system name

User level: privileged, supervisor.
Use the set system name command to set the mib2 system name MIB variable.
The syntax for this command is:
set system name [string]
string
Example:
P330-N# set system name "P330-ML-1"
*** Set system name ***
system name set
If you wish to enter a name which includes spaces, you must enclose the entire
name in quotation marks, for example "new york".

set terminal recovery password disable

User level: supervisor
Use the set terminal recovery password disable command to disable
the recovery password feature.
This command can only be run from the console port on the device.
If the recovery password feature is disabled and you forget your login and
password, you will not be able to access the device.
The syntax for this command is:
set terminal recovery password disable
Example:
P330-N# set terminal recovery password disable
Done!

set terminal recovery password

Use the set terminal recovery password enable command to enable the
recovery password feature.

• The system name string should be typed inside inverted
commas.
• The name is cleared if you leave this field blank.
