Configuration
Name an ATM physical interface.
* Note: You must disable an interface each time you make a
change to the configuration. After you make
configuration changes, you must enable the interface in
order for the changes to take effect.
set interface <interfaceID> name <interfaceName>

This example sets the name of ATM interface 1 to "thoreau".
ATM(configure)# set interface 1 disable
Interface 1 has been disabled
ATM(configure)# set interface 1 name thoreau
Setting of interface 1 name to thoreau
succeeded.
ATM(configure)# set interface 1 enable
Interface 1 has been enabled
Definition
The ATM interface identification number. The
range of values is: Minimum = 1, Maximum =
2 where 1 is Physical port 1 and 2 is physical
port 2.
Name for an interface. The interface name
must be between 1 and 31 characters (alpha or
numeric).
