Fluid Leaks
Check the gearbox assembly for oil leaks carefully. Oil can leak out of various points. depending on location of the
faulty oil seals/seal rings. Check the following before removing the gearbox from the frame.
Steering Gearbox
Leaking from the oil seal on the
top of the valve housing.
Roplace the valve oil seal from
the valve housing.
Leaking from cylinder end into
left tie'rod boot.
Replace the valve oil seal lrom
the pinion shaft.

Leaking from cylinder end into
right tie rod boot.
Tighten attaching bolts or replace
the valve body unit or gear hous-
Ing.

Tighten connector. It still leaking.

valve housing unil.
Leaking from cylind6r pipe A or B
connection (at tlare nut).
Leaking caused by damaged cy-
linder pipe A or B.
R e p l a c e t h e c y l i n d e r p i p e A o r B .
L e a k i n g f r o m f e e d p i p 6 a n d
return pipe of the valve body unit
(at flare nut).
Tighten connector. lI still leaking,
replace the pipe or valve hous
