Printing a full page of graphics

Before you begin to print with the 4213 laser printer make sure
that the interface cable (parallel or serial) between the host
computer and the printer is properly connected.

The printer formats the data sent from your host computer
according to which printer is selected as the default emulation.
When your application software requests that you select a
printer, choose the one listed as the default emulation on the
configuration sheet.
Note:
Some software packages take advantage of the random
access memory (RAM) expansion capabilities of the LaserJet
series of printers.
When a software package asks how much
RAM is installed, select the option closest to the amount of RAM
installed in the 4213 laser printer.

To print in another emulation, refer to chapter 3, "Using the
4213 menus."
Send a job from your host computer to be printed. Refer to the
manual provided with your application software or host operating
system for specific instructions on printing.
The Last Page indicator light starts blinking at the printer control
panel when the printer receives a print job. The symbol remains
displayed and blinking until printing is completed.

To print a full page (up to 216 by 279 mm or 8.5 by 14 inches) of
graphics at 300 dots per inch, the 4213 laser printer requires a
minimum of 4.5 megabytes of RAM. This requires the purchasing
of a memory expansion option for an additional 4-megabytes.
For a letter size full page of graphics, one 2-megabyte update is
required.
