Three-tray sequence selection:
tray.
When the first tray is empty, paper is fed from the
second tray.
The second tray is the feed tray until the first
tray is refilled or replaced. The third tray is the feed tray only
if the first and second trays are empty or out of the printer.
If you select a multiple tray sequence, you should have the same
paper tray size and the same paper size and type installed in the
selected paper trays.
The printer will switch to the other paper
tray when the first tray is empty.
The Tray Sequence menu item options are listed below as they
appear on the message display:
TRAY SEQ MODE
TRAY 1-2* (TRAY 1, TRAY 2, HCF, TRAY 1-2, HCF-TRAY 1,
HCF-TRAY 2, HCF-TRAY 1-2 or BYPASS)
Note: HCF refers to the optional High Capacity Feeder. Under
Tray Sequence Mode, HCF, HCF-Tray 1, HCF-Tray 2, and HCF-
Tray 1-2 are not displayed if HCF is not installed as an option.

2-Sided Print Mode

The 2-Sided Print Mode menu item, when enabled, allows you to
select the page format for 2-sided printing.
The guidelines governing long binding are:
Portrait orientation, with space provided on the left side,
long edge of page 1 and the right side, long edge of page 2
(front and back of the same page) to allow for binding.
Landscape orientation, with space provided on the top, long
edge of page 1 and the bottom, long edge of page 2 (front
and back of the same page) to allow for binding.
