Reading the configuration sheet

XEROX 4213 LASER PRINTER USER GUIDE
1. The configuration sheet first reports the status of Cartridges
A, B, and C. It also gives the following information:
Total Prints: Total number of prints made.
Total System Memory: Reports the total system memory.
Available System Memory:
available for storing downloaded fonts, logos, text and
graphics data, HP macros and future downloaded emulations.
2. Current
Emulation
functions specific to the emulation that the 4213 laser printer
is currently running.
The following configuration items are listed for XES emulation:
copies: Sets the number of copies for each page printed.
tray sequence mode:
select from all three paper trays, two of the three trays, or
one tray only. You control which of the paper trays will be
used and the order in which they will feed paper by choosing
a tray sequence.
duplex: When enabled, sets the print mode to 2-sided.
font select:
Identifies the default font currently in use.
font number is assigned by the printer.
data encoding:
Selects the XES symbol set to match the
character codes generated by your host computer.
line ending:
Determines if a line feed or carriage return
code is automatically sent to the printer. If your application
software package sends these codes to the printer, this
setting is NONE.
AUTO CR automatically adds a carriage return control code
(ASCII 10, ODH) when the printer receives a line feed.
AUTO LF automatically adds a line feed control code (ASCII
13, ODH) when the printer receives a carriage return code.
