CCD card/lens assembly removal

1.
Remove the large platen glass. See
2.
Remove the eight screws securing the cover (A) to the scanner unit assembly.
3.
Remove the cover (A).
4.
Disconnect the connections to the sensor (platen length APS 1) (B) and the sensor (platen length APS 2)
(C).
5.
Disconnect the CCD ribbon cable assembly (D) from the CCD card/lens assembly (E).
Warning: Do not remove or disturb any red painted screws or optical misalignment will occur.
6.
Remove the four screws securing the CCD card/lens assembly (E) to the scanner unit assembly.
7.
Remove the CCD card/lens assembly (E).
Note: Ensure that the white connector is plugged into the sensor (platen length APS 1) (B).
