Media Flow Controller Configuration Tasks (Web Interface)
CMC Client Setup
Set CMC client parameters. See
To set CMC client parameters:
1. Make these choices and enter this information:
Enable CMC Client—Allows this Media Flow Controller to be managed by a CMC
server (default). De-select to prevent this Media Flow Controller to be a CMC client.
Automatic Rendezvous—Allows this Media Flow Controller to initiate connections to
a configured Media Flow Manager CMC server. For rendezvous to work, it must be
enabled on the client (the Media Flow Controller) and on the CMC server (the Media
Flow Manager). When rendezvous is configured on the client and enabled on the
server, the client periodically sends out requests to the configured CMC Server
Address asking to be managed.
Confirm config changes—Makes an administrator's confirmation required for any
changes initiated by the CMC server.
CMC Server Address—The IP address of the CMC server so the CMC client for this
Media Flow Controller can initiate connections.
CMC Service Name—Only cmc is available for Release 2.0.4.
2. Click Apply to immediately apply changes; Cancel to reset previous values.
3. Click Save at the top of the page to make changes persistent.
CMC Status
View CMC client status, and take actions, if needed. See
To check CMC client and rendezvous status:
Under CMC management—Indicates whether or not this Media Flow Controller is
being managed by a Media Flow Manager.
Rendezvous status—Indicates whether or not this Media Flow Controller has
attempted a rendezvous with a Media Flow Manager.
Use the CMC Status action buttons:
Refresh Status—Causes the Media Flow Controller to immediately send a status
message to the CMC managing it.
Rendezvous Now—Causes the Media Flow Controller to immediately seek a
connection to the CMC managing it.
