Examples
The following example enables the device to use Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) to request
and accept SNTP traffic from servers.
Console(config)# sntp unicast client enable
sntp unicast client poll
The sntp unicast client poll global configuration command enables polling for Simple Network
Time Protocol (SNTP) predefined Unicast servers. To disable polling for SNTP clients, use the no
form of this command.
Syntax
sntp unicast client poll
no sntp unicast client poll

Polling is disabled.

Polling time is determined by the sntp client poll timer global configuration command.
Examples
The following example enables polling for the Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) predefined
unicast clients:
Console(config)# sntp unicast client poll
sntp server
The sntp server global configuration command configures the device to use Simple Network Time
Protocol (SNTP) to request and accept Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) traffic from a
specified server. To remove a server from the list of SNTP servers, use the no form of this
command.
Syntax
sntp server {ip-address | hostname}[poll] [key keyid]
no sntp server ip-address
