off—Disables Flow Control.
Default Configuration
Flow Control is off.

User Guidelines
Flow Control will operate only if duplex mode is set to FULL. Back Pressure will operate only
if duplex mode is set to HALF.
When Flow Control is ON, the head-of-line-blocking mechanism of this port is disabled.
If a link is set to NOT use auto-negotiation, the other side of the link must also be configured
to not use auto-negotiation.
To select auto, ensure negotiation for Flow Control is enabled.
Example
In the following example, Flow Control is enabled on g5.
Console(config)# interface ethernet g5
Console(config-if)# flowcontrol on
mdix
The mdix interface configuration command enables automatic crossover on a given interface. To
disable automatic crossover, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
mdix {on | auto}
no mdix
