User Guidelines
For OSPF routers to become neighbors, they must be directly connected and agree on the
following parameters.
•
IP prefix and subnet mask
•
Area ID
•
Authentication (none, text, MD5)
•
Options (stub, nssa)
•
Hello Interval (default 10 sec.)
•
Router Dead Interval (default 40 sec.)
Examples
The following example displays OSPF-neighbor information on interface 192.168.1.1.
Console# show ip ospf neighbor 192.168.1.1
Neighbor 192.168.1.11, Address 192.168.1.11
In the area 0.0.0.0
Neighbor priority is 1, State is FULL
