Line Commands

line

The line global configuration command identifies a specific line for configuration and enters the
line configuration command mode.
Syntax
line {console | telnet | ssh}
console—Console terminal line.
telnet—Virtual terminal for remote console access (Telnet).
ssh—Virtual terminal for secured remote console access (SSH).
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.

Examples
The following example configures the device as a virtual terminal for remote console access.
Console(config)# line telnet
Console(config-line)#

speed

The speed line configuration command sets the line baud rate.
Syntax
speed {bps}
bps—Baud rate in bits per second (bps). The options are 2400, 9600, 19200 and 115200.
Default Configuration
This default speed is 115200.
