router ospf router-id

The router ospf router-id global configuration command configures an OSPF router ID. To return
to default, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
router ospf router-id ip-address
no router ospf router-id
ip-address—Specifies the OSPF router ID as an IP address.
Default Configuration
The default is the first interface IP address.

User Guidelines
An arbitrary value for the ip-address keyword for each router can be configured; however, each
router ID must be unique.
Example
The following example configures an OSPF router ID as 196.127.2.1.
Console (config)# router ospf router-id 196.127.2.1

router ospf area stub

The router ospf area stub global configuration command defines an area as a stub area. To disable
this function, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
router ospf area area-id stub
no router ospf area area-id stub
area-id—Area associated with the OSPF address range. It is specified as an IP address.
Default Configuration
No stub area is defined.
