Example
The following example disables spanning-tree on g5.
Console (config)# interface ethernet g5
Console (config-if)# spanning-tree disable

spanning-tree cost

The spanning-tree cost interface configuration command configures the spanning-tree path cost
for a port. To return to the default port path cost, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
spanning-tree cost cost
no spanning-tree cost
cost—The port path cost. (Range: 1 - 200,000,000)
Default Configuration
The default costs are as follows:
Port Channel—20,000
1000 mbps (giga)—20,000
100 mbps—200,000
10 mbps—2,000,000

User Guidelines
There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
The following example configures the spanning-tree cost on g5 to 35000.
Console(config)# interface ethernet g5
Console(config-if)# spanning-tree cost 35000

spanning-tree port-priority

The spanning-tree port-priority interface configuration command configures port priority. To reset
the default port priority, use the no form of this command.
