Installing software Service Updates and PEPs

Introduction
This section explains how to install and uninstall Service Updates (SUs) and
Performance Enhancement Packages (PEPs) for Symposium Web Center Portal.
For more information about Service Updates and PEPs, refer to

http//www.nortelnetworks.com/register.
Note: You must have a SAM ID and a valid password to access this site.
Symposium Web Center Portal automatically removes the previously installed
Service Update when you uninstall a single component on the server. If you
uninstall one or more components after you install the Service Update, or if you
add one or more components after you install the Service Update, then you must
ensure that the Service Update is uninstalled, and then reapply the Service
Update.
Notes:
If you want to go back to using an earlier Service Update, you must

uninstall the Service Update you have on your system, and then reinstall the
Service Update you want.
You must restore backed up information on a system with the same level of
!
Service Update as the one you were using during the backup.
To uninstall Service Updates and PEPs
1 Log on to the server using the Local Administrator ID.
From the Start menu, choose Settings ➝ Control Panel.
