Installation sequence

Introduction
Before you start installing Symposium Web Center Portal, Nortel Networks
recommends that you print out the checklist chapter (see "Installation and
configuration checklists" on page 521) to ensure that you install the Symposium
Web Center Portal in the recommended sequence.
For more information about hardware requirements, software requirements, and
configuration information, refer to the Nortel Networks Symposium Portfolio
Server and Operating System Requirements Guide (P-2003-0381-Global)
provided on the Partner Information Center web site.
Notes:
Before you install Symposium Web Center Portal, you must configure your

switch. For more information about switch configuration, refer to your
switch documentation and "Symposium Web Center Portal Agent thin
client and DTH application" on page 543.
You must also configure the agent PCs for use with TAPI. For more

information about TAPI, refer to "Symposium Web Center Portal Agent
