Maintaining the database
To restore the Symposium Web Center Portal database
1 On your desktop, double-click the Portal Server Shutdown icon to shut
down all of the Symposium Web Center Portal applications. You must not
use the Agent Interface or Customer Interface until the restore is complete.

From the Start menu, choose Programs ➝ Administrative Tools ➝

Services, and then restart the Sybase SQLServer_SWCP_SQLSRV and
Sybase BCKServer_SWCP_SQLSRV_BS services.
From the Start menu, choose Programs ➝ Nortel Networks ➝ Symposium

Web Center Portal ➝ Portal Server ➝ Database Backup and Restore.
Result: The SWCP Backup and Restore Utility window appears.

CAUTION
Risk of malfunction
If you do not shut down the all of the Symposium Web Center
Portal applications, the restore will fail.
