Installation and configuration checklists
External Web server checklist
Note: If you are using JRun as your servlet engine, follow the procedure in
Appendix F, "Installing the External Web Server components with JRun and
IIS."
Checklist for Apache Web Server and Apache Tomcat
Ensure that you have DirectX 9.0b (or later) installed on the computer. For
more information, see "To verify your version of DirectX" on page 143.
Install J2SE 1.4.2 SDK. For more information, refer to "Installing the Java 2
Standard Edition environment" on page 145.
Install Apache Tomcat 4.1.18 (or later). For more information, refer to
"Installing Apache Tomcat" on page 154.
Install Apache 2.0 if you are installing the Sample Customer Interface
without the Web Communications component. For more information, see
"To install the Apache Web Server" on page 148.
Configure Apache Tomcat and Apache (optional). For more information, see
"To configure Apache with Apache Tomcat" on page 158.
Install the Customer Interface Sample Pages. For more information, refer to
"Installing the Sample Customer Interface and Web Communications
components" on page 160.

If you are using Apache Tomcat, you must install J2SE, and
then Apache Tomcat. You must always install J2SE before you
install the other required applications.
