Installing the Symposium Web Center Portal software
1. Install Service Update 05 on the Portal Server and all of the Agent
Desktops. Ensure that the system is in a fully operational state.
2. Log off all agents and ensure that TapiDesktopMonitor is shut down.
3. Shut down all Symposium Web Center Portal services using the Portal
Shutdown icon.
4. Download the IIS Lockdown tool from Microsoft. For more information,
refer to the documentation provided by Microsoft.
5. Run the IIS Lockdown tool. For more information, refer to the
documentation provided by Microsoft.
6. When you are prompted to select a template, select the Dynamic Web
Server (ASP) template.
7. Ensure that installation of the URLScan Filter is enabled.
8. In the Service Control Panel, start up any Symposium Web Center Portal
services that are not running. For more information, refer to "To start the
Portal Server component" on page 140.
