Accessing the Calibration Switches

Switch Functions

Only qualified, service-trained personnel who are aware of the hazards involved should
remove instrument covers. Always disconnect the power cable and any external
circuits before removing the instrument cover.
Two switches control access to the admin menu and calibration functions. The switches are on the
interface board located behind the right side cover.

Accessing the Calibration Switch

Step 1. Remove the right side cover (the side with the handle). Remove the handle screws with a
Philips pozidrive. Then remove the screw at the back using a T10 driver. Remove the panel.
Step 2. The calibration switches are visible through the cutout. To change the calibration switch
settings, use a small screwdriver to move the switches.

Do not use a pencil to move the switches. Any graphite dust that gets on the
switches will conduct electricity.
Step 3. Replace the side cover when finished.

This is the default or as-shipped switch setting. The calibration functions are accessible after enter-
ing a numeric password. The default password is 0 (zero).
The admin/calibration password is reset to 0 when the instrument is first powered on. Use this set-
ting if you have forgotten the password.
All calibration commands are disabled. This is useful where calibration access is guarded by instru-
ment seals.
