To Output a Burst Waveform

You can configure the function generator to output a waveform with a specified
number of cycles, called a burst. You can output the burst at a rate determined by
the internal rate generator or the signal level on the rear-panel Trig In connector.
For this example, you will output a three-cycle sine wave with a 20 ms burst
period. You will not change the other parameters from their default settings:
internal burst source and 0 degree starting phase.
1 Select the function and amplitude for the burst.
2 Select the burst mode.
3 Set the burst count.
Keysight 33210A User's Guide
For burst waveforms, you can select sine, square, or ramp waveforms
(pulse, noise, dc, and arbitrary waveforms are not allowed). For this example,
select a sine wave with an amplitude of 5 Vpp.
Press
and then verify that the "N Cycle" (internally-triggered) mode is
currently selected. Notice that a status message "N Cycle Burst" is shown in
the upper-left corner of the display.
Press the # Cycles softkey and then set the count to "3" using the numeric
keypad or knob.
