Modulating Source
The function generator will accept an internal or external modulation source for
PWM.
– Modulating source: Internal or External. The default is Internal.
– If you select the External source, the pulse waveform is modulated with an

the ±5V signal level present on the rear-panel Modulation In connector.
For example, if you have set the duty cycle to 10% and the duty cycle deviation
to 5%, then when the modulating signal is at +5 volts, the output will be at the
maximum duty cycle (15%). When the modulating signal is at -5 volts, the output
will be at the minimum duty cycle (5%).
