5.6 Adjustment Menu
This menu is used to align the printing position and correct the media feed operation.
• This menu is used to align the printing position and correct the media feed operation.
When replacing Head, perform head wash (after this, turn off the power and replace
Head), head nozzle check, UniD adjustment, BiD adjustment, Side margin
adjustment, Test pattern printing.
• If the print position is shifted by changing the height of the head, perform Bi-D print
alignment.
Diagnosis Contents

Rear/Edge Automatically adjusts the sensor sensitivity for Media
detection.
NozzleChk Checks whether the ink is normally discharged from
Head nozzles from the printing results.
CheckSkew Performs media feed and detects the degree of skew
in media feed by Sensor.
HeadSlant Checks Print head slant (horizontal and vertical
direction) from the printing results. Mechanical
adjustment must be performed as necessary.
Uni/ Bi Low Print with the head height set at Low, and perform
the following adjustment.
• Misalignment between the heads and
nozzle lines (Uni-D CW/CCW)
• Bidirectional printing position
Uni/ Bi Copy Copy the adjustment values for the Uni/Bi Low items
to those of the High adjustment values.
Uni/ Bi High Print with the head height set at High, and perform
the following adjustment.
• Misalignment between the heads and
nozzle lines (Uni-D CW)
• Bidirectional printing position
Margin Adjusts Top, bottom, and side margins.
TestPrint Prints out adjustment pattern ALL, adjustment
parameters ALL, serious error history and S/C Log.
