Conferencing Resources (CPU020/PCM Only): Connect up to 12 parties in multiple
conferences. There can be up to three simultaneous four-party conferences or up to four
simultaneous three-party conferences on a PCM card (non-ATM). Conferencing is not
amplified.
Conferencing Resources (CPU020/PCMA Only): Connect up to 12 parties in multi-
ple conferences. Due to the request/response nature of the ATM signaling, all confer-
ences that use resources on the PCMA card are treated as if they are four-party
conferences (e.g., a three-party conference call reserves all four conference circuits,
whether used or not). Because there are 12 conference circuits available, a maximum of
three simultaneous conferences can be created on a PCMA card. For normal confer-
ences, the conference circuits on the other PCMA boards on the system can be shared.
DTMF Receiver Circuits: Provides circuits (two for non-ATM cards; six for ATM
cards) that are used when single-line sets connected to MDPMs are dialing and when
features such as DISA and analog voice mail are used. These receivers convert DTMF
signals to the digital codes used by the system. They are in use only while the dialed
number is being processed, not for the duration of the call. If all DTMF receivers are
busy, the user may try again (DISA users are redirected to the primary attendant).
DTMF Transmitter Circuits (two for non-ATM cards; four for ATM cards): Generates
DTMF tones whenever needed by the system. For example, when an Axxess Basic Dig-
ital, Eclipse Basic Digital, Standard Display, Associate Display, Model 8500, Model
8520, or Model 8560 Phone user manually dials a number while on a call or when a sta-
tion user uses one of the system auto-dial features (ARS, call forward to the public net-
work, station or system speed dialing, etc.). Executive Display and Professional Display
Phones can generate their own DTMF tones.
NOTE:
are supported by U.S. software only.
Tone Generating Circuit: Produces all of the system tones (busy, reorder, do-not-dis-
turb, etc.) heard by phone, single-line set, DISA, and automated attendant users.
Caller ID [CLIP] Receivers (CPU020/PCMA Only): Provides four resources for
receiving Caller ID [CLIP]. These resources are in addition to those available on the
OPC (see
