4.124 Unless specified otherwise, the term "device IPRC" indicates the v1.x firmware IPRCs
that are programmed for devices. The term "v9.0.0 IPRC" refers to the IPRC firmware and
configuration that supports both private networking and IP devices on one IPRC.
4.125 The IPRC is equipped with the following resources:

Version 1.x Firmware Device IP Resource Card (IPRC): Supports the same ports as
the IPC in addition to 32 IP trunks via media gateway control protocol (MGCP). This
card requires a PAL to determine the number of available ports. If desired, you can
upgrade this card to a v8.1 firmware IPRC.
IP Card (IPC): Supports IP PhonePlus, IP SoftPhone, Model 8660, and IP Single-Line
Adapter (SLA) ports, providing the functionality required to make phone calls through
the IP network to the telephone system.
LED Indicators: Show the status of the card and circuits. See the TROUBLESHOOT-
ING section of this manual for additional LED information.
Serial Port Jacks: (RS232, 8-pin, 8-conductor modular jack or line jack unit) Connect
diagnostics monitors.
IP Port and LEDs: Provides an RJ-45 port for connecting to the Local Area Network
(LAN). The LEDs indicate when the network connection is valid and when data is
being transmitted. See TROUBLESHOOTING for more information.
