Position the equipment chassis near the MDF backboard or mount the chassis on the
backboard.
Install the circuit cards in the chassis and connect them to the cables that run from the
MDF blocks. For an ATM-based system, connect the cables from the PCMA cards and
CP Server to the ATM Switch.
Install the station instruments and any optional station equipment, such as headsets,
handset amplifiers, digital PC Data Port Modules, analog Data Port Modules, etc.
Install any optional system equipment, such as the Voice Processor, output device(s) for
station message detail recording (SMDR) and error message recording, external paging
network, external music source, etc.
Ensure that all equipment is working properly.
See the PROGRAMMING section of this manual to configure and program the system.
