CPU64 Card
NOTE:
tion, a Call Processing Card (CPC) is required.
4.59 The CPU64 card is identical to the CPU128 card, except that it only supports up to 64
devices and it can be used only in a single-chassis system. Like the CPU128, the CPU64 card
uses flash memory circuitry.
4.60 The CPU64 can be used with any of the voice mail platforms (EVMC or Windows-
based Voice Processing Unit). The CPU64 can be used with the 4-amp, 6-amp, or 9-amp power
supplies. (However, the EVMC cannot be used with the 6-amp power supply.)
4.61 If any T1 or T1/E1/PRI cards are to be installed in an equipment chassis using the
CPU64 card configuration, a single T1, E1/PRI, or T1/E1/PRI Network Clock Card (NCC)
must also be installed. Then, instead of using the clock circuitry on the CPU card, the NCC
becomes the clock for the entire system. The NCC provides the smooth, error-free clock transi-
tions required for T1 or E1 applications. You can use only one PRI-equipped T1 or E1 card
with the CPU64.
4.62 The CPU64 card can be used in a node in a phone system network. However, the node
should not be a hub and its voice mail system should not support any other nodes.
4.63 For CPU64 information, see
lation instructions, see
CPU020/PCM Card
NOTE:
4.64 There are six types of CPU020/PCM combinations available:
4.65 "D" is short for dual, "Q" is short for quad, "X" is used for slave, "F" is short for fiber,
and "A" is short for ATM. The four CPU020 cards (-D, -Q, -X, and -A), the two PCM cards (-
D and -F), and the three PCMA cards (-C, -F, and -FS) listed above are purchased separately.
In addition, each CPU020 card must be equipped with the proper boot ROM and memory map
PAL software kit. See REPLACEMENT PARTS for the appropriate part numbers.
NOTE:
feature-unit PAL is no longer required.
