Disconnect the alternator 5P connector.
Check
for Blue/yellow wire continuity between
the wire harness side of the EPS ECU 21P gray A
connector and the alternator 5P
connector.

NO
- Open circuit in the Blue/yellow wire
YES
- GO
TO
STEP 5.

connector and body ground.

NO
- GO TO STEP

Circuit
Inspection
Disconnect the ECM 33P black connector.
Check for Violet/white wire continuity between
the wire harness side of the EPS ECU 21 P gray A
connector and the ECM 33P black
connector.

- Open circuit in the Violet/white wire
YES
- GO TO STEP 7

NO
- Recheck for poor contact or loose con-
nection
in the wire harness. If they are
OK, replace the EPS ECU with a new
one (page 25-37).
