Remove the oil joint pipe and O·rings.

REPLACEMENT
Turn the inner race of each bearing with your finger.

The bearing should turn smoothly and
quietly.
BEARING
Also check that the outer
race
of the bearing
fits
tightly in the front crankcase cover.
TRANSM ISSION BEARINGS
Replace the bearing
if
the

nner race does
not
turn
smoothly.
quietly, or if the
outer
race
fits loosely in
the front crankcase cover.
Remove the crankshaft bearing using special
tools.
