Remove the steering shaft.
Remove the steering shaft bushing, holder 8 and
shaft.
INSPECTION
Check the steering shaft bushing for wear or
dam-
age.
Check the steering shaft for distortion or damage.
Turn the inner
race
of the steering shaft bearing
with your finger. The bearing should turn smoothly
and quietly. Also check thaI the bearing outer race
fits tightly in the frame.
