CYLINDER HEADIV ALVE/CAMSHAFT
Grease the cotters
to ease Installation
To prevent loss of
tenSIOn, do nor
compress the valve

install
the
colters.
Install
the
valve
spring cotters using the va lve
spring
compressor.
TOOL:
Valve
spring
compressor
07757-0010000
Support the cylinder head so that the
valve
heads
will not
contact
anything that cause damage.
Tap the
valve
stems gently with two plastic ham-
mers
as
shown to seat
the
cotters firmly.
CYLINDER HEAD INSTALLATION
Clean the mating surface
of
the cylinder and
head.
Instal' the dowel pins and a new gasket.
Install the
cylinder
head.
Tighten Ihe cylmder
Install and temporarily
tighten
the four cylinder
head bol/s after
head boils.
