Remove the two bolts and thermostat
cover.
Remove the thermostat from the
cylinder
head.
Remove Ihe
seal
rubber from the thermostat.
INSPECTION
Visually inspect
the thermostat for damage.
Make sure the rubber seal
on
the thermostat is
in
good
condition.
Replace the thermostat if the valve stays open at
room temperalure
ar
the rubber
seal
is damaged.
Heat the water with an electric heating element to
operaling temperature for 5 minutes.
Suspend the thermostat
in
healed
water
to check
its
operation.
