4.3 Oil Drain

CAUTION
The Intarder may NOT be actuated directly after
switching off the vehicle's engine for oil change
purposes.
This ensures that the correct oil volume is measured in
the transmission.
NOTES
In the case of an oil change, the oil must be drained into a
suitable container and must be disposed of in an
environmentally-friendly manner.
Basics: Change the oil after a long journey while the
transmission oil is still hot and thin.
• Park vehicle on horizontal ground and turn off engine.
• For draining the oil, the oil drain plug is to be
unscrewed at the transmission (position 1) and the
drain plug from the oil filter housing (position 2).

When transmission oil is hot:
RISK OF BURNS!
• After draining the oil, the drain plugs (magnets) must
be cleaned and the sealing rings must be renewed.
• Fit new filter.
• Subsequently screw in drain plugs again.
CAUTION
Pay attention to the predetermined tightening torque in
table on pages 45 and 46 (T
