4.6.1 Checking release valve of clutch pedal

Before the splitter group can be activated via the release
valve (1), the clutch must be fully separated. The complete
separation of the clutch must take place before reaching 70%
of the pedal travel.
CAUTION
• At the earliest, servo air release may be effected after
another 10% of the pedal travel, in relation to the clutch
separation point.
• If the release valve is incorrectly set, the synchronizers
could be destroyed when activating the splitter group.
Inspection
• Clutch must be set according to the provisions of the vehicle
manufacturer.
• Adjusting screw on the clutch pedal must be set in such a
way as to prevent the release valve (1) from responding until
it enters the excessive travel range (c).
• In position (b), the clutch is fully separated (for check, see
Chapter 4.6).
