Engine Marking - KAMAZ 5490 Operation Manual

VIN code
VIN code is applied onto the vertical wall of the
right side member in frame front or rear part and in-
cludes:
- XTC - manufacturer's code (3 marks);
- vehicle model conventional code (6 marks);
- production year code (1 mark);
- vehicle ordinal production number (7 marks).
Vehicle component parts marking
The identification number of frame is punched on
the upper horizontal boom of the right side member at
front part of the frame and includes:
- XTC - manufacturer's code (3 marks);
- digit «0»;
- frame model designation (6 marks);
- production year code (1 mark);
- ordinal production number of the frame
(7 marks).
Cab identification number is punched on a cab
front inner panel, at the left. Identification cab number
comprises the following:
- cab model designation (6 marks);
- production year code (1 mark);
- cab ordinal production number (7 marks).

ENGINE MARKING

Engine has its own manufacturer's plate (see Op-
eration and maintenance manual for Mercedes-Benz en-
gine).
