To drain water from coarse fuel filter
When the information about the triggering of wa-
ter sensor is displayed, you need to drain sediment from
the coarse fuel filter: remove the water drain plug from
the filter cap and drain sediment until clean fuel appears.
Prior to draining the water-fuel mixture from wa-
ter collection vessel or prior to air release with the help
of priming pump, place the vessel to collect water-fuel
mixture under the coarse fuel filter.
Avoid fuel getting onto vehicle aggregates and
soil.
To replace filter element
1. Disconnect the water sensor plug.
2. Undo the water drain screw to let fuel drain
from the filter.
3. Tighten the water drain screw witch a torque of
1,5 to 2,0 N·m.
4. Remove the filter cap and take out the filter el-
ement.
5. Replace the filter cap sealing ring.
6. Grease sealing rings of the filter cap and of the
new filter element using motor oil.
7. Put the new filter element into the cap and
screw cap into the filter body with a torque of
20-25 N·m.
8. Insert the water sensor plug into the socket.
9. Bleed air from the system using the priming
pump.
10. Start the engine, make sure that the fuel sys-
tem is leak-proof.
Prevent the ingress of contaminations into the fuel
feed system when replacing filter elements.
Be sure to use filter elements from manufactures
possessing official approval of KAMAZ PTC for delivery.
Attention!
While installing the filter, be sure to stop the en-
gine.
Do not dismantle the pre-starting priming
pump.
