Technical requirements and instructions
Locking means must keep the sides of semi-trailer platform closed relia-

See subsection «Tire maintenance».
Inspect the state of brake chambers, hoses and pipes. Brake chambers
must be secured reliably. Hoses must be free of wear traces, damages and
cracks. Avoid brake pipes deformation.
By ear, test the air drive for leakage. Air leakage is not permissible. The
air drive should be tested for leakage at a nominal pressure, with activated
compressed air consumers and with engine switched off using 2 positions of
the brake system controls:
- with brake valve free pedal and engaged parking brake (position -
«Stop»);
- with depressed brake valve pedal and disengaged parking brake (posi-
tion - «In motion»).
For this, front wheels should be arranged on horizontal site. Test free play
of steering wheel, with engine idling, rotating the steering wheel to the right
and to the left till steerable wheels begin rotating (free angle must not exceed
25°).
Axial displacement of steering wheel is not tolerable.
