FUEL TANK AIR FILTER

The fuel tank air filter is located near the fuel tank
on a frame side member (see Fig. Fuel tank air filter

In case of abrupt air release during fuel tank open-
ing (excessive air pressure in tank) or air suction (vacu-
um inside tank), you need to check the condition of fuel
tank air filter.
The air filter should be placed vertically, the max-
imum permissible inclination shall not exceed 25°.
Check the condition of air outlet. If necessary, clean it of
dirt to allow free flow of air.
If the fault is not eliminated or by excessive con-
tamination, the fuel tank air filter should be replaced.

the parking brake, the gearshift lever should be in neutral
position, place the chocks under wheels.
2. Slacken the worn clamp.
3. Take the air filter out of polyamide pipe.
4. Check the condition of pipe inner surface - it
should be free of dirt. If any contaminations or fuel, blow
and clean it using the compressed air.
5. Install the new worn clamp in the new filter.
6. Install new air filter in a polyamide pipe.
7. Secure the worm clamp on the frame side
member by placing the air filter int a vertical position
(the maximum permissible inclination shall not exceed
25°).
